The officers were there and responded quickly. They discovered six gunshot victims. Five men aged 16-27 years and one woman aged 21 years.

A 22-year-old man was hospitalized with life-threatening wounds and succumbed to his injuries shortly afterwards. His identity was withheld until the next of kin were notified. No updates were given on the condition of the other five victims.

Andrew Simpson was jogging in the park when the gunshots rang out.

“I heard gunshots. It went really fast, ”Simpson told the East Bay Times. “Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a guy with a gun pointed at a car. Everyone started sprinting and screaming. They shouted ‘we’re being shot at!’ I didn’t really understand what was going on. Hundreds of people ran. People jumped into their cars and drove away. “

Watson said in a press release that immediately after the shooting, officials observed two men running from the scene with firearms. Both men were arrested and two firearms were seized.

Homicide investigators tried to find out whether the arrested people were connected or responsible for the shooting.

The video of the scene showed dozens of pieces of evidence on the sidewalk and street on the coast.
