Automotive squats on sidewalk killing Oakland pedestrians – CBS San Francisco

OAKLAND (CBS SF / BCN) – A 41-year-old man was killed after a car rolled off the street onto a sidewalk in the Oakland neighborhood of Glenview on Sunday evening, police said.

The man was standing on the sidewalk on the 3800 block of Park Boulevard at around 5:15 p.m. when a Lexus GS pulled north off the street.

The Lexus hit the man and two parked cars. The man, whose name was not released until the next of kin were notified, was taken to the nearby Highland Hospital, where he died.

The driver fled on foot, police said, and no description was available.
