Cousin arrested in Oakland homicide of Dellmor Brown – CBS San Francisco

OAKLAND (CBS SF) – A 33-year-old Oakland man was arrested in the fatal shooting of his cousin on the 2800 block of Macarthur Blvd. on 08/18

Oakland Police said an arrest warrant was obtained after reviewing evidence, including surveillance videos, and Clarence
Johnson was taken into custody. He was being held for murder.

to identify Johnson and his arrest, ”said Oakland Homicide investigator Sergeant Vass.

At around 4:45 a.m. on August 18, officials responded to a call for a shooting on the 2800 block on Macarthur Boulevard. When they arrived on site, officers found that Brown was suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The assassination was one of 82 in Oakland that year. At this point in the past year, police had investigated 63 murders in the city.
