PG&E sells SF headquarters; Satelite de San Ramón could have a brand new workplace in Oakland | consolidates information

The deal has yet to be approved by the California Public Utilities Commission. According to the utility, which has proposed CPUC return the profit to customers by offsetting future utility costs over a five-year period, PG&E would generate net income of around $ 400 million. “This sale and move will result in cost savings that will directly help reduce customer bills,” said Patti Poppe, CEO of PG&E Corp., in a statement. “At the same time, it will provide us with an efficient and effective workspace in the Bay Area as we focus on delivering to all of the communities we serve.”

PG&E is expected to move to its new headquarters in the 28-story Kaiser Center at 300 Lakeside Drive in Oakland, with the expectation that the move will reduce utility costs over the long term.
