Take a tour of Oakland’s epicurean waterfront with our Oakland Restaurant Week Progressive Dinner in Jack London Square on Thursday, January 17th at 6:00 PM
Local Food Adventures founder and owner Lauren Herpich leads a group of 12 diners to a special multi-course meal in three locations and takes you through the history of the Oakland Coastal District.
The Jack London Progressive Dinner is $ 75 per person; additional $ 25 for wine / cocktails. Buy tickets here.
The first course will be First Course in Belcampo, one of the newest restaurants in Jack London Square. Why choose just one tasting from each course on a Restaurant Week menu when you can try them all! Guests will enjoy everything on Belcampo’s fixed price menu this year. Guests who want to add a little “spirit” to their experience can enjoy a glass of wine with their class.
The main entrance for the tour will be in Dyafa. Travel back to the Palestinian-Syrian upbringing of James Beard semi-finalist Reem Assil and soak up the flavors of her homeland. Guests will enjoy their signature Middle Eastern musukhan chicken confit (vegetarian option available) along with a special cocktail upon request.
Finally, enjoy a dessert / after-dinner drink at the Rosenblum Cellars and end the evening with a spectacular view of the Oakland / Alameda Estuary while enjoying a deliciously sweet cupcake and a special rosemary shortbread made by Jen Angel of Angel Cakes being baked in Jack London Square. All guests will also enjoy a glass of wine to toast the evening as they await a year of great Oakland cuisine.
